Diggers Garden Club

Founded 1924

Objectives

  • To stimulate interest in private and public gardens.
  • To protect native flora.
  • To encourage active participation in gardening and to make the experience of each member available for all.

Old Mill

The gardens of El Molino Viejo, the Old Mill, in San Marino are the Diggers Civic Project.  The Diggers Auction, which is an annual event, is our fund-raiser for this project.  The funds raised pay for the gardeners at the Old Mill, and for pruning, sprinklers, new plants and other needs.  Our members also participate by pruning and weeding in the gardens during the year.
